Q: How far in advance should I book?

Ideally, 6–8 weeks before your wedding date. This gives me plenty of time for a relaxed discovery process and at least two rounds of revisions. That said, if your wedding is coming up soon, reach out. Expedited options are sometimes available, especially for The Short Thread package.

Q: What's the difference between your three packages?

The Short Thread ($444) delivers concise, beautifully crafted vows up to 150 words - perfect for elopements and micro-weddings. The Long Thread ($555) is designed for couples renewing their vows or marking a meaningful milestone, drawing on the years already shared. The Tapestry ($777) is fully bespoke, built from an in-depth questionnaire, two rounds of revisiions, and finished with your vows preserved in a keepsake shadow box.

Q: What do you need from me to get started?

Once you've chosen your package, I'll send you the right starting point. There are guided prompts for The Short Thread, a historical questionnaire for The Long Thread, and a discovery brief for The Tapestry.

Q: What if I'm not a great writer or storyteller?

Most couples who hire me feel exactly the same way, that's why they're here. You don't need to arrive with polished prose or a clear narrative. The questions and prompts are designed to draw your story out gently, asking about specific moments, feelings, and details rather than asking you to write anything finished. From there, the writing is my job. You just need to show up.

Q: Will my vows sound like me, or like a poet?

Both, that's the goal. My approach is to capture your voice, your stories, and your humor (or lack thereof!), and give them a lyrical quality that elevates without obscuring. The vows will feel unmistakably like you, just more beautifully expressed.

Q: Will my partner see my vows before the ceremony?

Your vows are kept confidential until you say them aloud.

Q: What if I've already started writing my own vows?

Bring what you have, even rough notes or scattered ideas. The Short Thread is well-suited for couples with a few lines they want polished into something more lyrical, while The Tapestry is the right fit if you want your draft fully transformed into bespoke vows that sound unmistakably like you. Either way, your starting point becomes part of the weave.

Q: What if I don't love the first draft?

Every package includes at least one round of revisions, and The Tapestry includes two. Feedback is welcomed and expected. Getting your vows exactly right is the whole point. 

Q: Are payment plans or refunds available?

Full payment is due at booking to reserve your spot on my calendar. Because every package involves dedicated creative work tailored to your story, refunds are not available once the first draft has been completed. If you need to cancel before that point, please reach out. I'll do my best to find a fair solution. The free 15-minute consultation is the best place to make sure this is the right fit before you book.
